Marci
Marci is Family Eye Care’s full time optician. She’s worked with Dr. Hickman for 18 years and her duties include helping patients choose the best frames and lenses for their lifestyle, as well as assisting with contact lens fittings and education.
Marci takes great satisfaction in helping her patients choose that just right frame as well as helping first time contact lens wearers feel comfortable with their new contacts.

She and her husband Shane have 2 boys.
Hallie
Hallie started at Family Eye Care in February of 2022 as patient coordinator. She is responsible for assisting patients with scheduling appointments, payments and filing patient records.
Hallie and her husband, Korey have two children and reside in Orange City. They enjoy spending time with their families and the outdoors.

Drs. Hickman and Waltz enjoy helping their patients see better whether that means new eyeglasses or contact lenses. They also can diagnose and treat eye diseases.

Dr. Tim Hickman
Dr. Hickman is a native of Northwest Iowa and graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 1985. He’s a member of the Iowa Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and Heart of America Contact Lens Society.
He has a special interest in contact lenses, ocular disease diagnosis, as well as diagnosis and treatment of children’s vision.
Dr. Hickman has been married for 35 years and has 3 boys - Sam, Max, and Monte - and in his free time, enjoys hunting, fishing, and traveling.
Dr. Aric Waltz
Dr. Aric Waltz joined Family Eyecare in the fall of 2021. He is a native of Spirit Lake, Iowa. After attending Northwestern College, he graduated from the University of Missouri - St. Louis College of Optometry in 2020.
Dr. Waltz enjoys seeing a wide variety of exams whether it be pediatrics, disease, contact lens, or just a routine eye exam.
He currently lives in Sioux Center with his wife, Lauren, and two children, Mason and Bowen. In his free time, he likes to be with family and cheer on the Northwestern Red Raiders and Minnesota Vikings.
