Our Staff
Marci Jager
Marci is Family Eye Care’s full time optician. She has worked in the office for 19 years and her duties include helping patients choose the best frames and lenses for their lifestyle, as well as assisting with contact lens fittings and education.

She and her husband Shane, reside in Maurice and have 2 boys. She enjoys watching her two boys play sports and spend time with her family.
Hallie Rolfes
Hallie is the full time billing and insurance specialist. She started at Family Eye Care in February of 2022. Her duties include filing all insurance claims, credentialing, and billing for the office.
Hallie and her husband, Korey have two children and reside in Orange City. They enjoy spending time with their families and the outdoors.
Katlin Pike
Katlin is the receptionist of the office. She started in April of 2023. Her duties include answering the phone, scheduling appointments, and greeting/checking in patients.

She currently resides in Orange City and is engaged to Skyler. They are to be married in June! She likes to camp, boat and love on her three dogs, Oka, Lacey and Ollie!
Our Practice
Family Eye Care has been a fixture in Orange City for nearly 30 years. We strive to provide the best service and value for our patients.

Drs. Hickman and Waltz enjoy helping their patients see better whether that means new eyeglasses or contact lenses. They also can diagnose and treat eye diseases.

Dr. Tim Hickman
Dr. Hickman is a native of Northwest Iowa and graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in 1985. He’s a member of the Iowa Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and Heart of America Contact Lens Society.
He has a special interest in contact lenses, ocular disease diagnosis, as well as diagnosis and treatment of children’s vision.
Dr. Hickman has been married for 35 years and has 3 boys - Sam, Max, and Monte - and in his free time, enjoys hunting, fishing, and traveling.
Dr. Aric Waltz
Dr. Aric Waltz joined Family Eyecare in the fall of 2021. He is a native of Spirit Lake, Iowa. After attending Northwestern College, he graduated from the University of Missouri - St. Louis College of Optometry in 2020.
Dr. Waltz enjoys seeing a wide variety of exams whether it be pediatrics, disease, contact lens, or just a routine eye exam.
He currently lives in Sioux Center with his wife, Lauren, and two children, Mason and Bowen. In his free time, he likes to be with family and cheer on the Northwestern Red Raiders and Minnesota Vikings.
